Tilted table saved my wrist on a 40 sheet municipal set in Cleveland
Last month I had a 40 sheet set of details due for a municipal permit in Cleveland and I thought I could power through with my old parallel bar and plastic triangles. By day 3 my right wrist was screaming and I was making sloppy arcs on ordnance sheets. I borrowed a coworker's adjustable drafting table with a tilting surface and it was night and day, my arm stayed straight and the pressure on my wrist basically vanished. I used to think fancy tables were for architects with big egos, but now I get why posture matters so much for repetitive line work. Finished the last 22 sheets in 4 days without any pain meds. Has anyone else found that changing your work surface fixed a repetitive strain issue, or do you prefer standing vs sitting setups?
