Unpopular opinion: I wasted $150 on a fancy laser level that barely works better than my old string line on sunny days in Denver
Spent 3 hours trying to calibrate it on a framing job before giving up and pulling out the chalk line, so has anyone else had better luck with cheap laser levels or am I just doing something wrong?

Fair point on the batteries, but honestly the cheap lasers I've tried were way worse. There's a middle ground somewhere - maybe a Bosch or something in the $60 range that doesn't need a PhD to set up. Chalk line still beats anything on a bright day though.
