Best week I've had on the Mississippi in 11 years

Last Tuesday we pulled 1,200 cubic yards of clean sand out of a tight bend near Baton Rouge before lunch. No buried cables, no logs jamming the cutterhead, just steady work. Has anyone else hit a stretch where everything just clicks like that?

Man I feel you on that one. There's nothing like those days where the river just cooperates and you can actually make some real progress. I had a stretch last fall on the lower Arkansas where we pulled 800 yards of clean gravel out of a shoal in like six hours, no snags, no hangups, just smooth running. Makes you forget about all the times you spent half a day untangling cable or digging out a buried stump. Hope you get another week like that soon, those are the ones that keep you coming back.
