Hot take: I used to think vibration dampeners on dredge pipes were a gimmick but after running 12 hours straight near Lake Charles last month my elbows don't ache at all now

A buddy at the docks swore by them for months and I finally bolted a set on after cracking a weld from the rattle and honestly the whole rig runs quieter plus I can actually feel my hands at the end of a shift so has anyone else had that experience or was mine just lucky?

@finley_wells66 nailed it with those rubber ones, I got the same on my setup and the difference in how I feel after a shift is unreal. The weld cracking thing is real too, haven't had a single issue since I slapped mine on.

Yeah man I ran the same setup on a job near Baton Rouge last year and it saved my wrists. Got a pair of those rubber cylinder ones that slip right over the pipe flanges and bolted them tight. The difference was night and day after about week two of nonstop dredging. My elbows used to throb like crazy after a long shift and that constant vibration would make my grip go weak by hour six. The weld cracks stopped happening too which saved me a ton of downtime. Not saying it's magic but for the money it's worth trying if your gear shakes bad.
