Eight hours on one clog is brutal. Was it just packed mud and shell, or did you hit something weird like a lost fishing net or old timber? Those old cutterhead lines can get absolutely packed solid if the mix is right.

Actually it was a mix of packed clay and old oyster shells, but the real killer was a chunk of concrete someone dumped years ago. It wedged sideways behind the cutterhead and just locked everything up solid. We had to pull the whole section and break it up with a hammer.
