Stop running your dredge pump dry for more than 10 seconds, I see it all the time

Blew out a $1,200 seal last month on the Mississippi because the guy before me let it cavitate without water, does anyone else have to re-train new hires on this every single season?

That Mississippi story finally convinced me to keep water in the pump.

Man I used to think keeping water in the pump was overkill, that Mississippi story changed everything. Never realized how fast things can go wrong until you hear about someone actually stuck in that situation. Now I always top off the reservoir before I leave the house.
