Took 6 hours to clear a jammed cutterhead on an Ellicott 370

We were working a small harbor job near Portland and the cutterhead just locked up solid. Thought it was a rock at first but it was an old mooring chain wrapped around the shaft. Took me and another guy 6 hours to cut it free with a torch while hanging off the ladder. Anyone else deal with something dumb like that taking way longer than it should?
