Customer feedback on my corner bead changed how I finish every joint now

Had a homeowner in Tacoma last month who pointed out a tiny shadow line on my outside corners. I always used paper tape with a metal bead, but he said it looked wavy in the afternoon light. So I switched to a vinyl bead with a true 90 and started pre-filling the nose with hot mud before taping. First job since then, the corners look crisp even with a flashlight on them. Cost me an extra 10 minutes per corner, but the difference is real. Anybody else get a complaint that turned into a permanent habit?

Damn, a homeowner caught that? Flashlight test is the new standard now.
