Had a whole lift of 5/8 board slip off the forks in a Cincinnati high rise last week

We were moving sheets up to the 14th floor and the strap snapped. Three sheets went over the edge of the loading dock and got wrecked on the concrete below. Had to send a guy back to the supplier for a rush order, which set us back about four hours. Anyone know a good brand for those heavy duty ratchet straps that can handle the weight?

Yeah, and UV damage can make them brittle even if they look fine.

Ever check the strap's date code? Those things can get weak just sitting in the sun on a truck bed for a few years.
