Hit 10,000 sheets of drywall hung last week. Didnt realize it till I checked my truck log.

Been doing this 8 years now. That number surprised me because I never counted before. Anyone else keep track of their totals?

You ever finish a job and realize you hung more than you thought because the layout was just that easy, or was it more like "I lost count after the third ceiling in a row"? I hit a similar milestone a few years back and realized half my work was in warehouses where you could pretty much set your watch by the pattern. The other half was in houses where I swear I spent more time moving ladders than actually hanging.

How many of those were on commercial jobs versus houses? I've been doing this about the same time and I'd bet 80% of mine are in new builds where you're just banging out sheets in big open rooms. Tracking totals seems like a headache unless you're getting paid piece rate, then it kind of matters. Did you ever have a job where you realized you hung way more than you thought because the layout was just that easy?
