Just realized I've been using the same taping knife since a job in Spokane 8 years ago.
The foreman there showed me his method for loading mud, and I haven't looked back since. Anyone have a favorite knife they've held onto forever?

Wait, a taping knife from 8 years ago is still good? That's wild, I go through them like socks. Hayden_black29 is right though, we do keep the weirdest proof we did the work. My first knife looked like a pretzel after a week, so your foreman's loading method must be some kind of magic. Seriously, what's the secret, just a ton of care or did you find some indestructible brand?

Man, that's a classic move. It's like how people keep their first dollar from a lemonade stand. We hold onto these random things from early jobs as proof we actually did the thing, lmao. My old work shirts are basically a timeline of bad decisions and worse pay.
