Overheard a homeowner saying drywall is "just slapping some boards up"

I was grabbing lunch near a job site in Akron and this guy at the next table tells his friend it's just nailing sheets and mudding over them. How do you even respond to that without coming off like a jerk, have you guys run into this level of cluelessness?

Did you try just laughing it off and saying you'd love to see him try that on a warped stud?

My first stud was a 2013 Silverado and I would've laughed too. Then I bought a 2018 F-150 with the factory studs and holy cow, that aluminum frame really warps. Now I take that warning seriously because I saw it happen to a buddy's truck last winter.
