Serrated knife trick for bevel cuts saved me an hour on a stairwell job

I do mostly commercial work and last Tuesday I had this weird angled bevel where the ceiling met a sloped wall in a stairwell. Normally I'd measure five times, cut once on my drywall saw, and still end up shaving a quarter inch off with my knife. This time I grabbed one of those long serrated bread knives from my lunch kit out of desperation. I just scored the face paper along my line and then worked the serrated edge back and forth through the core. It cut clean, no crumbling, no dust storm. It was way faster than trying to get my jab saw to follow the angle. The cut still wasnt perfect but the gap was under an eighth inch so tape and mud handled it. Has anyone else used a serrated blade for those weird angle cuts, or am I just late to the party? I got this tip from an old finish guy on site but he said he never told anyone else. Just curious if theres a better way I should try before I start carrying that bread knife on every job.

Swear by the same trick, used it yesterday on a weird closet angle and it cut through like butter.
