Spent 6 hours fixing a corner bead that should've taken 45 minutes
Had a job in a bathroom remodel near Denver last Tuesday. Old corner bead was rusted to hell. Thought I'd just pop it off and nail a new one. Nope. The stud behind it was warped and the previous guy had shimmed it with drywall scraps and random wood chunks. Took me 3 trips to Home Depot for different length screws and a magnetic level. Finally got it straight around 5pm. Anyone else run into walls that are just built wrong for no reason?

Bet it wasn't even the corner bead's fault, that wall was probably cursed from day one with those shims. Some builders just hate the next guy, I swear.

Actually three trips to Home Depot is just part of the deal with any old remodel, not really something to complain about. You never know what's hiding inside those walls until you start pulling things apart. Sounds like you got it straight and fixed right, which is what really matters in the end.
