That $900 dustless sander setup, worth it or a trap?

I dropped $900 on a dustless sanding kit with a HEPA vac last month for a big ceiling job in Portland, and honestly the air was way cleaner but the extra hose weight wore me out by noon. My partner swears it saves us time on cleanup but I'm not sold for smaller rooms where you're just patching. Anybody else spent big on dust control and then regretted it on the next tight job?
