Hot take: Got reamed by a master electrician for using too many wire nuts on a simple job

Old timer told me I was wasting time jamming three wires into a single nut when a Wago lever would do it faster and cleaner. Switched to the lever nuts for lighting circuits and cut my trim-out time by about 20 minutes per house. Anyone else had a senior sparky change your whole approach like that?

Tbh I had a similar moment with an old timer who showed me you don't need to strip a wire a full inch for every connection. Quarter inch is plenty for most stuff and it keeps your boxes way less crowded. Felt like an idiot for years of overstripping.

Heard some electrician say stripping too much can actually weaken the connection over time.
