That $90 wire tracer finally paid for itself on a 3 story office job
For months I kept putting off tracing a stubborn circuit in an old building downtown. The panel schedule was useless, everything looked the same gray jacket in the conduit. Finally dropped $90 on a decent toner and probe kit after the third time I had to flip breakers and run up and down the stairs. Found the exact circuit in 10 minutes, turns out it was mislabeled by two panels over. Anyone else rely on one tool they almost never use but can't live without when it counts?
