That Friday I found a live wire behind a false ceiling in a 1970s office
We were pulling new circuits in an old building downtown and my apprentice knocked a tile loose. Behind it was this ancient knob and tube splice just floating there, still hot, wrapped in what looked like 60 years of dust and electrical tape. Boss said, "don't touch it, call it a museum piece," and we spent the next hour working around it like it was a ticking bomb. Has anyone else run into sketchy hidden stuff like that on a reno, or is it just my luck?

Museum piece" is a wild way to describe a live wire that could kill someone. I would've been sweating the whole time too, honestly, old knob and tube is no joke. That tape was probably the only thing holding back a fire just waiting to happen.
