That old service panel in a 1920s house in Portland stopped me cold
I was doing a simple outlet swap last Tuesday in this craftsman off Division Street, and the homeowner had this ancient pushmatic panel with cloth wiring still feeding half the place. It got me thinking about how we used to just slap things in and call it done, no AFCI or GFCI worries back then. Anyone else run into these relics and wonder how the place never burned down before you got there?

Totally get that nervous feeling when you pop open those old boxes.
