TIL the hard way that pigtails beat backstabs on outlets

I used to trust those backstab holes on receptacles for years, then a call back on a kitchen circuit in Austin showed two melted neutrals. Now I pigtail everything, even on a basic trim out, and I've had zero callbacks since. Anyone else ditch backstabs after a similar failure?
