Used to hate pigtail splices in panels, now I prefer them for most jobs
For like 5 years I always landed two wires under one breaker screw because it was quicker. Last spring I got a call back on a house in Kent where a double tapped neutral had loosened up and melted the bus bar. Some old master electrician I was working with on that job showed me his method of pigtailing everything with a Wago and landing one wire per lug. I switched over completely since then, it takes an extra 10 minutes per panel but I sleep way better knowing nothing on that bar is fighting for space. Anyone else made the switch after a bad service call or am I just slow on this?
