Bought a $400 ultrasonic cleaner for governor parts last fall

Had a big job replacing governors in a 30 year old Otis bank downtown. My old method was hand scrubbing with brake cleaner and a brush, taking forever. Picked up a cheap ultrasonic tank off Amazon for 400 bucks. That thing cut my cleaning time by more than half and got into all the little holes I couldn't reach. Did the money come back fast enough to justify it? Just about. Anybody else use one for small parts or stick to the old way?

Heating the solution first makes a huge difference too lol. Just a heads up the cheap ones can struggle with really thick varnish if you don't warm it up.

Used to think heating it was just an old wives tale honestly. But after watching a cheap sprayer basically choke on some old polyurethane, I tried the warm water trick and it made a world of difference. Kinda kicking myself for not trying it sooner.
