Controversial take: I grease my guide rails every single month

Honestly, I know most guys in here swear by doing guide rail maintenance every quarter or even twice a year. But I work nights at a hospital with six high traffic elevators, and the rail wear I saw after six months was rough. So I started greasing them monthly with a light lithium based compound, nothing heavy. After about three months the ride got way smoother and I stopped getting those vibration complaints from the nurses. My manager thought I was wasting time but the logs show fewer callbacks for rough rides. Has anyone else tried a shorter interval on a busy bank and seen real results?

Oh wow, that's a pretty aggressive schedule but I get it if those elevators are really getting hammered. Did you notice any difference in the grease itself breaking down or washing out between monthly and what you were doing before? I'm just curious if the lighter compound is the real key here rather than just the frequency.

lol "aggressive schedule" - @luna_craig58 makes it sound like I'm training for the grease Olympics or something. But nah, the lighter compound is def the MVP here, the monthly thing just keeps it from turning into a sticky disaster zone before its time.
