Finally figured out why my landing limits were drifting after 12 years in the trade

Swapped from tripping the governor switch at final limit to using a rope switch as my primary on a 2019 Otis and haven't had a single callback since.

That part about swapping from the governor switch to a rope switch is interesting. Did you have to rewire the controller to accept the rope switch, or was it a direct swap on that Otis model? I've seen some guys try it and end up with nuisance trips because the rope switch contacts didn't match the controller's input specs.

Gotta say @ryanj60, I used to swear by the direct swap too until I ran into the same nuisance trip issue on a different Otis. Changed my mind after matching the contact ratings - it's not plug-and-play on every model, definitely worth double checking the input specs first.
