Cheap tools always cost more in the end. It's the same with everything from phone chargers to car parts.

A study from Consumer Reports found cheap phone chargers fail three times faster than brand name ones. You end up buying two or three of the knockoffs, which costs more than one good charger. It's a perfect example of the false economy.

It's frustrating because you think you're saving money in the moment, but it just doesn't work out that way. I've had cheap chargers die right when I needed them most, which is honestly the worst. At least with a quality one you can count on it to actually work.
