Stumbled on a stat that 60% of elevator doors fail from bent roller guides
I was reading through some old elevator inspection reports from a job in Austin last week and found out that over 60% of door failures come from bent roller guides, not the motor or controller like I always assumed. That totally surprised me because I've been chasing electrical gremlins for years when the fix might have been simpler mechanical alignment. Has anyone else found this to be true in their own work, or is this just a weird sample from those specific buildings?

Nah, that number seems high, I bet half those reports were just lazy inspectors.

Lazy is pretty much the default setting for everything these days.
