Vent: Chasing a phantom door reversal for 4 hours straight

Last Tuesday I had this old MCE controller in a 6-stop building near the river... kept getting intermittent door reversal codes. I swapped the photocells, checked wiring, even replaced the door limit switch, took me from 10am to 2pm. Finally found a tiny piece of duct tape stuck on the door track that was just barely catching the safety edge. Has anyone else spent half a shift on something that simple?

Four hours on duct tape? You're a better man than me, I would have given up after the third swap and called it a ghost in the machine (which is line cook speak for "I don't know and I don't care anymore").
