I finally watched "Freaks and Geeks" 20 years late and now I'm mad it's only one season

I binged the whole 18 episodes last weekend after my coworker kept bugging me about it. Got invested in Lindsay's whole arc with the burnouts and then bam, the show just stops with no real ending. I heard the network wanted more partying and less real teen stuff, which is a bummer. What do you think would have happened with Sam and the Weir family if they got a season 2?

Yeah the "wanted more partying" part nails exactly why this show got canned. Sam would've probably started questioning his whole good kid image while trying to stay friends with the geeks. The Weir parents were already loosening up a bit by episode 18, so I figure season 2 would've had them clashing more with Lindsay's new crowd. Real shame because the show was just hitting its stride with those family dynamics.
