I was rewatching 'The OA' and realized I missed the whole point
I spent the entire second season complaining about the octopus and the weird house. Then, during a rewatch last month, it hit me that the show was about belief itself, not just the plot. I was so focused on the 'how' that I missed the 'why' they were doing any of it. What show did you totally misread until you gave it another shot?

Nah, sometimes a weird show is just a weird show. The OA felt like it was trying so hard to be deep that it forgot to make sense. All that octopus stuff and the weird house just seemed like random stuff thrown in to seem smart, not some big statement about belief.

Sounds deep but maybe it's just a weird show.

Ever watch something that makes zero sense but you can't stop thinking about it? I had that with Twin Peaks. The dancing dwarf and the talking log felt like pure nonsense at first. But the weirdness stuck with me, and later I saw it as a mood about a town's hidden sickness. Sometimes the "point" is just the feeling it leaves you with, not a clean plot.
