I was totally wrong about Firefly being overrated

I used to roll my eyes at the hype until I binged it last weekend and saw how much story they packed into just 14 episodes. The way the crew dynamics shifted from episode 8 to 9 really sold me on what could have been in season 2. Has anyone else had a total flip on a show after finally watching it?

Nah, I still think the hype is way bigger than the show actually was.

I read this article the other day that said the showrunner originally pitched a completely different ending but the network pushed for a more dramatic finale. Something like 40% of the viewers dropped off after the first season, so I guess that explains why they tried to crank up the hype every year. Just feels like they were trying to convince people it was better than it actually was, if you ask me.
