Noticed a pattern in how I talk about canceled shows
Used to just say 'it got canceled' and move on. Now I catch myself naming the specific episode where I knew it was doomed, like the time in 'The OA' when they introduced that new dimension out of nowhere. Anyone else track the exact moment a show started to lose its footing before the plug got pulled?

Man "the exact moment it started losing its footing" - that's the part I gotta push back on. Lot of shows don't lose their footing. They just don't get a fair shot. Netflix kills stuff that's actually good all the time. The OA was weird and that's what made it special. That new dimension thing was the whole point, not a mistake. Networks cancel stuff for money reasons, not quality reasons. You're looking for creative patterns in business decisions.

Read somewhere that fans often overthink the creative reasons when the bean counters make the calls.
