Question about how we used to discover shows before streaming
I miss the old days of just flipping through channels and stumbling onto something random like Firefly after a sports game, but now I can't really do that since everything's on demand and we lost that surprise factor.

Right, because nothing says "thrill of discovery" like watching 15 minutes of a show you already saw three times because the guide was fuzzy.

Scrolling through endless menus is like walking into a warehouse where EVERYTHING is sorted by genre, and that serendipitous moment of discovery is just gone. It's the same with how we listen to music now, always picking from a curated list instead of catching a random song on the radio that sticks with you for days. We traded the thrill of the unknown for the convenience of a catalog, and I really think we lost something real in the process.
