Started watching "The Get Down" three years after it was canceled

I finally binged that Baz Luhrmann Netflix show about hip-hop in the 70s last month and now I'm mad it only got one season. They literally stopped mid-story with the kids forming their crew and everything. Has anyone else accidentally fallen in love with a dead show way after the fact?

Netflix really said "here's one season of a show that barely gets a proper ending, enjoy" and dipped. Still mad we'll never see how their story ends.

Man, tell me about it. Its like Netflix has zero patience for shows that need a season or two to find their footing. @shah.ben nailed it, they greenlight a cool concept, drop a full season, and then just pull the plug before the story even gets going. Im still bitter about that sci-fi show from a few years ago that ended on a huge cliffhanger. It feels like theyd rather chase the next big hit than let a good show breathe and build an audience. At this point I almost expect any new series to get cancelled after one season. Its a rotten way to treat fans who actually get invested.
