Stuck between Terriers and Rubicon after they both got canceled

I finally had time to binge two shows that Fox killed back in 2010, Terriers and Rubicon, but only had bandwidth for one. I picked Terriers because everyone said it was a hidden gem, and it was great but the ending left so many threads dangling. For someone who hates unresolved plots, should I still bother with Rubicon, which I hear had a similar fate?

You mentioned hating unresolved plots, so honestly skip Rubicon. That show got cut down hard and the finale is basically a cliffhanger that never gets answered. It's a slow burn spy thriller that was building something huge, then Fox pulled the plug. The characters are great and the mood is incredible, but if you need closure you'll just get annoyed. Terriers at least gave you a satisfying arc even if the big mystery didn't wrap up. Rubicon leaves you hanging way worse in my opinion.

Hold on, you're not totally wrong but I gotta push back a little. Rubicon's finale actually wraps up its main mystery in a way that makes sense for the story they told. It's not a cliffhanger in the traditional sense. The big reveal about the conspiracy lands, and there's a pretty clear ending for the main character. What's missing is the fallout and the next season that was clearly planned. So yeah, you don't get the full story arc Fox intended, but it's not like they ended mid-sentence. Terriers definitely gives you more closure, no argument there. But Rubicon is worth watching for the atmosphere alone, even with the sting of cancellation.
