That bakery show getting pulled still irks me months later

I got hooked on 'Rise and Shine' about a family running a pastry shop. It ended on a cliffhanger with them about to expand. I really wanted to see if the new location would work out. Now it's just gone, and it feels like a wasted story. Canceling shows like that is just disappointing.

Honestly, it's worse when you invest time into characters and then get no payoff. Shows like that build up stories just to drop them, which feels disrespectful to the audience. Tbh, it makes me hesitant to start new series knowing they might get axed.

Ugh, I feel that so hard. I got burned one too many times and just stopped watching anything until it was completely finished. Now I wait for the whole series to be out and check if it got a proper ending before I even start. It takes willpower to avoid spoilers, but it's way better than getting attached to a story that just gets dropped.

Yeah, I hit that wall a few years back. Got so tired of investing in shows just for them to vanish or forget their own plots (looking at you, most network TV). What finally worked for me was just giving up on ongoing stories and only watching limited series. Like that one on Netflix, the eight episode thing that wrapped everything up in a tight bow. Knowing there's a real ending from the start just lets me relax and enjoy it, you know?
