The 'Surface' revamp in October 2022 changed how I watch canceled shows

I saw Apple TV+ quietly drop all 8 episodes of 'Surface' at once instead of weekly. That made me actually finish it, but I still can't get over how it ended right as Gugu Mbatha-Raw found out her memory was wiped on purpose. The whole first season felt like one long setup episode, so I wanted a second season to see her either forgive or wreck her husband. Has anyone heard if they're planning a proper follow-up, or is it just stuck in limbo like every other streaming show?

honestly i think the binge drop kinda killed it, if it had gone weekly more people wouldve talked about it and maybe we'd have a s2 by now. also i didnt hate the ending, it felt like a proper season one cliffhanger not some lazy setup, though i get why you wanted more.
