Wasted $200 on a streaming service for one show that got canned

I signed up for Quibi back in 2020 just to watch 'Chrissy's Court' because I thought it was hilarious. Paid $5 a month for like 4 months before the whole service shut down. That show ended on a cliffhanger with no second season coming. Now I'm stuck with $20 down the drain and nothing to show for it. Anyone else got burned by a platform dying before a show finished?

Yeah that Quibi thing hurt a lot of people. What worked for me was just waiting until a whole season drops before I sign up for anything now. I got burned the same way on a show on that short lived service called Stage13, paid for two months and then poof. Now I just wait for shows to show up somewhere else later, or I do the free trial and binge everything in one weekend. It sucks that you can't really trust these platforms to stick around but that's how it is. If I really want to see something I'll just buy the DVDs if they exist or find it somewhere else after a few months.

Used to think paying for single shows was dumb, but after losing that Quibi money I totally get the frustration now.
