Went to a used bookstore in Tacoma and saw a whole shelf of 'Firefly' novelizations

It was a whole section, maybe 15 books deep, all based on that one season. It really hit me how much story they had to cram into books because the show got yanked. I stood there thinking about what a second season of actual episodes could have been, instead of all those paperbacks. Anyone else get bummed out by the merch pile for a show that never got to finish?

That shelf is a real gut punch. Felt the same way seeing a whole rack of "Jericho" comics at a con once. The show ends on a cliffhanger, and the only closure you get is in a graphic novel you have to hunt down. It just makes you dwell on the better version we all missed.
