Why does nobody talk about how 'The OA' cancellation wasted hours of our time

I spent 8 hours binging both seasons of The OA and then they canceled it on a MASSIVE cliffhanger. The show literally ended mid-sentence with no resolution in sight. How much time did you lose on shows that got axed without any ending?

I still remember the exact moment in the OA season 2 finale when Hap opened that door and I was like "oh no, here we go again." I think I actually yelled at my TV when the credits rolled. Eight hours of my life gone, plus another few hours trying to find interviews or reddit theories that might explain what the hell was happening. I've learned my lesson though - now I refuse to start any Netflix show that hasn't already been renewed for a second season, which basically means I'm only watching Stranger Things and reruns of The Office on repeat.
