Blew 6 months trying to find the right manufacturing partner for my t-shirt line

I spent from January to June emailing 12 different factories and none of them could hit my minimum order of 50 pieces without charging double. Finally found a small printer in Austin who does runs of 25 for a fair price after a random referral at a coworking space. Has anyone else had a sourcing process drag out way longer than the actual business setup?

Ended up finding a local place through a friend of a friend, just a two guy operation in an industrial park. They charged me $50 more than bulk but were actually reliable, what did you end up doing?

$50 more is nothing for peace of mind. Bulk dealers flake too often.
