Figured out I was pitching my services all wrong for months

I kept sending detailed proposals with pricing upfront and getting ghosted. Then a guy I met at a networking event told me 'stop selling, start asking questions' and it clicked. Anyone else have a moment where a simple conversation changed how you approach things?

That "dig deep enough" line you said really hits home because I notice people do the SAME thing in casual conversations too. Everyone stays on the surface asking about weekend plans or the weather instead of actually connecting. It's like we've all forgotten how to ask real questions that get past the small talk layer.

Yeah that whole 'ask questions' thing is key but here's the real trick - most people ask surface level stuff and never dig deep enough to find the actual pain point. I learned that when you get them talking about a specific failure or frustration they've had, they basically sell themselves on why they need you.
