Had to pick between a big conference or a small mastermind group this year.

Went with the mastermind of six people, and we meet every other Tuesday on Zoom. Has anyone else made a similar choice and regretted it, or did it work out?

Oh man, this reminds me of the time my friend swore by these giant industry events but then realized he spent most of them just trying to find a good coffee spot between sessions. My own Tuesday night group started out as five people and now we're at eight because someone's cousin kept showing up and honestly it's perfect chaos. The small group thing forces you to actually prep instead of just nodding along to keynote speeches you forget by lunch. Some of my best ideas came from someone rambling about their dog's behavioral issues which somehow connected to our business models. So yeah, you probably made the right bet even if it doesn't feel glamorous at first.

Honestly, I was all about the big stage before. But man, a tight group like that forces you to actually do the work, you know? @the_alice is right about the real talk. My last mastermind saved a project I was about to mess up.

Actually think you made the smart call. Big conferences are fun but you get way more real talk in a small group. Hope your Tuesdays are good.
