Met a guy at a Denver pitch event who changed my whole approach
I was at a small startup mixer in Denver last month and an older investor named Doug told me he never pitches without a one-sentence problem statement first. He said if you can't explain the pain point in under 10 seconds, investors tune out. I tried it at my next meeting and got three follow-up questions instead of the usual blank stares. Has anyone else had luck rewriting their opener like that?
