Paid $500 for a 'networking mastermind' that was just a Zoom call with a sales pitch

I saw an ad for an exclusive group promising connections with investors. I signed up, paid the fee, and joined the first call. It was just a guy trying to sell us his $5,000 coaching package for an hour. The promised intro emails and member directory never materialized. Has anyone found a legit group that actually facilitates real introductions?
