Showerthought: Everyone says to join a local group, but mine took 9 months to actually help
I kept hearing how a good network solves problems fast, but finding the right people who actually understood my niche in e-commerce was the real grind. Has anyone else found that building a useful circle takes way longer than the advice makes it sound?

Maybe you were looking for shortcuts, not real help.

Honestly, that's a solid point. People often just want a quick fix instead of putting in the real work.

Start by calling out that the nine months thing is actually normal. Most people's "networks" take years to build. The advice makes it sound like you show up to one meetup and boom, magic happens. Real connections need shared struggles first.
