Thought coworking spaces were a scam until I joined one in Phoenix last fall
I figured paying $300 a month for a desk was just burning cash when I can work from home for free. But after three months at a spot near Downtown Phoenix, I landed two new clients just from hallway conversations. Anyone else find that face to face networking still beats anything you can do online?

Totally agree with @the_wyatt on that. I was in the same spot, thinking coworking was a waste until I actually tried it. Had a random chat by the coffee machine with a guy who ended up being a perfect referral partner, and that one conversation turned into three months of steady work. The casual face to face stuff is just way more natural than DMing someone on LinkedIn. You can read their energy, joke around, and build trust way faster than any online back and forth.
