Vent: Blew $400 on a fancy coworking membership I barely used

I signed up for a premium coworking space downtown thinking it would get me out of my home office and help me focus. Paid $400 a month for 6 months before I finally cancelled. The problem was I spent more time driving there, parking, and chatting with people than actually working. The free coffee and snacks were nice, but I was getting maybe 2 hours of real work done in a 5 hour visit. My home office was quieter and I didn't waste 45 minutes in traffic each way. I should have tried a day pass first or picked a spot closer to my house. Has anyone else fallen for the fancy office trap and regretted it?

That $400 monthly fee could've bought me about 80 lattes from the coffee shop two blocks from my apartment. Ngl I almost made the same mistake until I realized I'd rather work in my pajamas with my cat judging me than deal with that commute. Tbh the only thing I'd pay $400 a month for is someone to mute my neighbors' barking dog.

Wait, 80 lattes for $400? Where do you get your coffee, a gas station bathroom vending machine?
