My client who's a retired chemist explained why she avoids hyaluronic acid in dry climates like Phoenix.
She said it can actually pull water from your skin if the air is too dry, which made me rethink recommending it to everyone without considering their environment.

My friend Sarah moved to Albuquerque last year and kept using her favorite HA serum. Her skin got so tight and flaky she thought it was an allergic reaction. Her new dermatologist out there asked about her routine first thing and explained the exact same thing. She had to switch to a glycerin based moisturizer instead. Honestly it makes total sense when you think about how that stuff works.

Yeah it's like how some fixes work great in one place but backfire somewhere else lol. I see it with house plants too, the same care routine can kill them if the humidity's off.
