Overheard a customer say 'facial is just expensive face washing'

I was at a coffee shop last week and heard some lady tell her friend that facials are just paying $150 for someone to rub soap on your face. Made me want to scream. How do you guys explain what we actually do to people who think it's nothing special?

Expensive face washing" is such a perfect way to miss the whole point. It's like saying a mechanic is just someone who turns wrenches, yeah technically true but you're ignoring the skill and the tools and the whole process.

Wait, isn't calling it "expensive face washing" kind of like saying a massage is just expensive touching? You're missing all the extra stuff that makes it worth it.
