Shoutout to the client who brought in half a bottle of expired retinol serum
I had someone come in last Tuesday with a wrinkled bottle of retinol that clearly expired in 2021 and she kept insisting it still worked. She got red patches and peeling after I used it on her skin and now she's blaming me for the reaction. Has anyone else dealt with clients ignoring expiration dates on products they bring from home?

Did you check the expiration date before using it? That's on you honestly. I never touch anything a client brings from home without looking at the expiration and ingredients first. Rule number one of esthetics school, don't trust client skincare products. She's mad but you should've caught that bottle.
